My name is Ilka Å tuhec. I was born on 26th october 1990 in Slovenj Gradec. I’m an alpine skier working in my own private team, but a member of Slovenian ski federation. I fist steped on skis when I was two and a half years old and I hope I’ll stay on them all my life. Sadly in my career I had a lot of injuries and so I lost quite a few racing seasons. But injuries also made me stronger and a person I am today. I made some very good results in my career too – 2 small christal globes (downhill and alpine combined in season 2016/17), 2 gold medals on world championship in downhill (2017 in St. Moritz and 2019 in Ã…re), 9 world cup wins, 17 world cup podiums, 10th place in downhill and 13th in super g in the Sochi 2014 Olimpics. In 2009 I finished high school in ll. gimnazija Maribor and now I’m continuing my education on University for Economics and business in Maribor. Since 24.4.2014 I am employed by Ministri of internal affairs – police, profesional athletes department.
